You will be accommodated at an alpine-style accommodation provided by Bike Hire Tours.

After years of biking and having fun around this incredible area, Bike Hire Tours designed a program that includes only the best of the best trails. Among most spectacular and for the most courageous riders, it also features a 9190-foot descent from the glacier. Now, imagine these feelings. Imagine these views! To top it up, this biking paradise also offers optimal climate conditions.

Beginning at the top of the peak chair on Whistler mountain, the top of the world will take you through Whistler's insane alpine environment on a tacky smooth single track filled with built up berms, switchback corners, and fun flowy descents along the way. The trail winds its way down the back side of Whistler mountain, dipping into areas not even open for skiing in the winter.

Day 1: Getting to Les 2 Alpes

If you are flying from overseas, Bike Hire Tours recommends arriving at least a day early to help you adjust to the time zone and to avoid any flight delay complications. Bike Hire Tours can pick you up at one of the nearby airports (Grenoble, Lyon, or Geneva) or at a designated meeting point and drive you to Les 2 Alpes (Les Deux Alpes) where you will move into your alpine-style accommodation for the duration of this trip. Once you’ve settled in, you’ll have a short introductory briefing followed by dinner in the village and some relaxed time to get to know each other. Alternatively, you can organize your own arrival at Les 2 Alpes and join Bike Hire Tours whenever it suits you best.

Day 2: Warm up on Les 2 Alpes Vallée Blanche trails

If you haven’t gotten your bikes ready yet, now’s the time. The first part of the first day on trails is planned for skills and safety check and training. Then, your guide will introduce you to the most common trails and treats in the area of Vallée Blanche. Welcome to mountain bikers heaven!

Day 3: Puy-Saint-Vincent

After one and a half hours of drive, you’ll arrive at the infamous Puy-Saint-Vincent. The area offers a large choice of descent, enduro, and cross-country circuits on 21 miles of marked trails. The playground for the day includes:

  • Two descending trails (three to four and a half miles)
  • Three enduro descending trails (four to six and a half miles)
  • Three cross country circuits (6.5 to 16 miles)
  • Two lifts (four and six chairs)
  • One fun way slope with wooden lattice paths distributed over 660 yards, ideal for family rides or to get introduced to mountain biking with 100% pleasure

Day 4: Les 2 Alpes Bike Park: Diable - Bike Patroller - Venosc

The prime classic is right in the backyard. Between wild and perfectly built trails, Les 2 Alpes definitely qualifies high among legends of mountain biking. With its many slopes and ultramodern chairlift, the Diable, also known as the devil sector, contrary to its name, offers courses and modules for all levels. The breathtaking Fury (competition level) and the legendary Venosc trail will delight any seasoned and more adventurous rider. On this day, you’re set to conquer:

  • Three sectors: Jandri, Diable, and Venosc
  • four lifts
  • Six tracks including 1 elite track
  • Two cross-country routes
  • Three enduro routes

Day 5: Serre Chevalier

After just over one-hour drive, you’ll reach another epic MTB area. Besides countless cross-country trails, Serre Chevalier also offers a bike park with 11 downhill trails. You can ride either by following specific signs that differ cross country from downhill trails, which are all daily maintained by a team of professional trail builders. Thanks to four lifts running during summertime, you can easily reach the top of the park at over 8,000 feet elevation. The park also features various wooden modules for experts.

Do you feel like working on improving your techniques today? It's not a problem. Ludic Park at the bottom of the lifts was specifically built for entry-level bikers to improve their skills. Whenever you’re in need of a quick recharge, you can take a break in any of several cozy restaurants in the area.

Day 6: Les 2 Alpes Gletscher (11,810 feet) and Venosc (3,000 feet)

Enjoy one more day at the heart of the Les 2 Alpes Bike Park. After lifting up to 10,500 feet above sea level, you’re in for the first treat of the day by taking a mountain train up to the glacier top at 11,810 feet. Enjoy a quick and breezy winter experience, just long enough to get those shorts on snow photos were taken. Next thing on your menu is nothing else but your longest descent. Riding down from the glacier at 10,500 feet to the valley village of Venosc at 3,000 feet, you will beat a remarkable 7,500 feet difference in elevation. Charging trails with one of the highest vertical drops among European bike parks makes for a one spectacular day.
