On this cycling holiday, you will be provided seven nights of accommodation in a five-star high end luxury villa. The house sleeps up to 16 people in double or twin rooms which are all air-conditioned. The rooms are serviced by multiple luxury bathrooms and a large kitchen area. Over the many years of cycling in Costa Blanca, Cycle Retreats have amassed a large library of breathtaking routes ranging in distance and difficulty from 70 kilometers / 43 miles of rolling roads to an epic 140 kilometers / 87 miles challenging routes taking in the best climbs of Costa Blanca. You will always be stopping at a local café for lunch and refreshments, and all the rides are guided with a support vehicle on call.
Over the duration of your stay, it will be mixed, but typically, you will be looking at cycling 90 kilometers / 56 miles to 120 kilometers / 75 miles per day, taking in some wonderful climbs including those that have feature on the Spanish Vuelta, such as the Vall de Ebo and Coll de Rates to name a few.
The perfect start to your cycling holiday is the 50 kilometers / 31 miles of rolling smooth roads to flush out the legs from your earlier flight. You will ride across to Orba before dropping down into the Xalo valley which is simply breathtaking passing through the beautiful village of Lliber before heading over to Gata and back to the retreat. This ride is to spin the legs out and to make sure your bike set up is 100% and ready for the week.
You will head out into the Xalo valley to warm the legs up before heading towards probably one of the more well known and famous climbs in Costa Blanca, Coll De Rates. The views from this climb are spectacular. The roads are quiet and you will be lucky to see another car as you head over to Castell De Castells from Tabena.
This route takes in the iconic Vall De Ebo. Oftentimes, you will see the pros riding this, and once up, you will know why. It is a simple and beautiful climb, with tree-lined sections, switch backs, and beautiful views. Once up and over Ebo, you will head out to Tollos before dropping back down on some wonderful sweeping descents to Castell De Castells before heading through the valley back to retreat, a breathtaking finish to the ride.
This is a beautiful ride and is one you will not forget. Heading out along the Xalo valley floor through the almond and olive groves to Castell de Castells, the climbing starts here as you ride up through Tollos and Benimassot. The views are spectacular, the roads quiet and smooth as you turn and climb up to Confrides and over to Guadalest. The piercing blue waters has to be seen for you to believe it.
You will have a stop for a well-deserved lunch before descending for 20 kilometers / 12 miles before the final climb back up to Coll de Rates from the southern side. This climb is long and steady, one to be savored, before dropping back down onto the home stretch. This will serve an awesome day cycling.

This cycling holiday will be held in Spain. It will cover places including Castell de Castells, Tollos, Benimassot, Confrides, and Guadalest. The retreat house is located within the Jalon Valley, a perfect location for cycling and only a mile from the wonderful center of Jalon.
