This cycling holiday will take place in Almeria, Spain. Unlike many other European destinations, Almeria provides ideal weather conditions for all year round training. That, along with a huge diversity of coastal and mountain routes, ensures the minimum amount of repetition and adds to the enjoyment of the overall experience. Almeria is situated on the south coast of Spain in the Andalusia region, roughly midway between Malaga and Alicante.
Steeped in history, it was originally founded to provide a better defense system for the regional Arab towns. It was Abd-al-Rahman III who founded the Alcazaba, or the Citadel, which gave the city its name, Al-Mari'yah. It offers many attractive choices, from the stark contrast of the new city, with its abundance of shops, bars, and cycle-friendly infrastructure, to the historical charm of the old city.
During this cycling holiday, breakfast and dinner will be provided daily.
