This popular route leads along the Czech-Austrian border. Boutique Hotel Tanzberg, Mikulov

Boutique Hotel Tanzberg offers a total of 17 rooms, 4 Economy rooms, 4 standard rooms, 8 comfortable rooms and 1 Maharal apartment. All rooms are non-smoking and have a private bathroom with a shower and toilet. Hotel Lahofer, Znojmo

Hotel Lahofer is situated right in the heart of the historic town of Znojmo. If you are arriving by car, you'll certainly appreciate having your own enclosed hotel car-park and if you are a cyclist you can be assured to receive every comfort from a hotel with cyclist welcome certification.

Approaching the building, hotel visitors are greeted by the historic facade with its twin gables. On entering, however, they are generally taken aback by the modern design and timeless elegance. The hotel can accommodate up to thirty-two people in single up to triple air-conditioned rooms (one of which is accessible to visitors using wheelchairs). You can find a large and a smaller wine cellar, lobby bar and a summer garden in the courtyard, and of course we have a wine shop, offering a wide selection of wine, not just their own.

The hotel restaurant Veselá 13 offers both Czech and international cuisine, and it's a perfect food experience complemented with an offer of high-quality wines from local producers.

During the renovation of the building, whose history reaches back to the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries, the architect sought to reconcile the magic of an historic building with the modern features and comfort of the 21st century.

Chateau Hotel, Vranov

The Château Hotel is located in the picturesque valley of the River Thaya, which flows through Vranov nad Dyjí, close to the Vranov nad Dyjí Château. A very quiet environment and the old-style hotel building offer comfortable relaxation to all guests. Guests can also choose from countless experiences in Vranov nad Dyjí and in the close as well as broad vicinity.

The Château Hotel offers 23 double, triple and quadruple rooms and 2 beautiful apartments. It can accommodate up to 65 people. The hotel includes a restaurant, a conference hall for 120 people, a wine bar and a summer terrace with a view of the château.

The hotel is located near the popular Vranov Lake, and the area offers many bike and hiking trails, connecting all the interesting sights, such as the Bítov Castle, the Corštejn Castle, the Hardegg Castle and the Riegersburg Château.

Chateau Hotel offers you:

Besidka Hotel, Slavonice

“Besidka” is a meeting place, restaurant, gallery and a design hotel, now spanning a recently opened hostel “The Blue Star” in the neighbouring house as well as a ceramics and textiles workshop where you can design and print your own t-shirt and even paint a cup.

The house in which “Besidka” is located, was bought on the 27th of June 1988 by seven brave men from the Sklep theatre and the Wife of the Nations, back then the totalitarian regime was still so deep that they didn’t see further than the tip of their noses and couldn’t get any further than the closet.

A quote from the time when “Besidka” existed only in a literary-theatre form before it materialized into a form when the restaurant and bar became the head, the kitchen became the belly and the cellar serves as liver-kidney with a heart in the Renaissance hall which is not at all Renaissance-like.

Hotel Zlatá Hvězda, Trebon

If you are a lover of good food, looking to relax and want to see the sights, hotel accommodation Trebon Zlata hvezda (Golden Star) in the heart of the pretty spa town of Trebon will fulfill all your wishes. The accommodation they offer the guests 48 comfortable rooms.

The hotel has a Renaissance style and some rooms offer guests a view of the historic square of Trebon.

Hotel Krčínův Dům, Český Krumlov

Krčín's House hotel is located right in the heart of the city in one of the most important historic buildings with a 14th-century sgraffito facade. Its Renaissance interior is furnished with period furniture selected by the owner, a passionate collector of antiques. Some rooms boast an original beamed ceiling with ornaments or Renaissance wall paintings.

This building was also personally inhabited by the Rožmberk regent and the famous Czech fishpond builder Jakub Krčín from Jelčany. They believe that you will also enjoy the genius loci of Český Krumlov and the hotel.

On the ground floor of the building, visit the famous Jakub Restaurant, which features modern international cuisine, based on fresh local ingredients. On the outdoor terrace you can also enjoy wine from the wide menu of the wine shop.

Program

Day 1: Mikulov (26 kilometers / 16 miles)

Transfer from Prague (or Vienna or Linz) to Mikulov, a town of wine and history. Meet your travel guide, prepare the bicycles, get acquainted with the program, receive the information material and maps. Enjoy your introductory ride through the Mikulov vineyards! *Overnight in Mikulov

Day 2: Mikulov - Valtice - Lednice - Mikulov (47 kilometers / 30 miles)

This day of biking sets out through the flat and gently rolling hills around Valtice-Lednice area with breathtaking castles set into the romantic landscape. The route enters the hilly area of the Pálava Protected Landscape Area with its archeological areas in Dolní Věstonice, past vineyards and orchards, and back to Mikulov. The day offers several opportunities to taste excellent local wines.

Day 3: Mikulov - Znojmo (76 kilometers / 48 miles)

This day takes you along flat terrain along the Austrian border and the Dyje (Thaya) River. The route leads along the Greenways route to Znojmo, another wine-making region with a rich history. Another possibility is to cross the border in Mikulov and continue along the Austrian wine route „Weinviertlradweg“ with occasional wine-tasting stops.

Day 4: Znojmo - Vranov nad Dyjí (42 kilometers / 26 miles)

In the midst of vineyards and wine cellars, enter the Podyjí National Park. This relatively short but interesting route leads through the picturesque Dyje River valley with magnificent views into the countryside. En route you can stop off at the Nový Hrádek (New Castle) ruins and enjoy the atmosphere here. The trip finishes in Vranov nad Dyjí with its dominant castle perched above the Vranovská Lake. *Overnight in Vranov nad Dyjí.

Day 5: Vranov nad Dyjí - Slavonice (46 kilometers / 29 miles)

You leave the Dyjí River and ride through an open, slightly hilly landscape to the edge of the Czech-Moravian Highlands to Slavonice, a small town full of Renaissance homes with rich sgraffito and finely decorated interiors.

Day 6: Slavonice - Třeboň (67 kilometers / 42 miles)

Today provides you with a magnificent route leading through the wild nature of „Czech Canada“. Hilly terrain with one of the oldest stone castles in Bohemia, Landštejn, alongside the Austrian border into Třeboň´s lake district. Třeboň, a historic town with a Renaissance castle, is a hub of Czech fisheries and spas.

Day 7 - Třeboň - Český Krumlov (75 to 81 kilometers / 46 to 50 miles)

This day of cycling leads through the Třeboň lowlands between its largest lakes to Hluboká nad Vltavou, home of the Czech Republic's most beautiful castle. Pass through the gentle landscape around lakes to Holašovice, a village recognized by UNESCO for its well-preserved rustic Baroque architecture. Continue through the Blanský Forest Protected Landscape Area to Český Krumlov around Kleť, the tallest mountain of Blanský Forest, offering a possible view to the Austrian Alps from its lookout tower. If you feel tired don´t hesitate to use our free shuttle transfer! Český Krumlov (UNESCO) is one of the most well preserved historic villages in Bohemia with a number of historic and cultural monuments, winding streets, locally renowned restaurants, and a rich cultural life.

If 81 kilometers of cycling is too much for you, choose the second easier option. The route leads on a new smooth cycle track Greenway 12 along the Vltava river to České Budejovice, the city, that gave the name to the famous Czech beer Budweisser Budvar, folows the Vltava river valley through the picturesque villages including Zlata Koruna, with its famous 13th. century monastery and ends in Cesky Krumlov. Day 8 - Český Krumlov

Enjoy your last day in Český Krumlov - take a free boat trip on the Vltava river, take a walking tour of the city, discover the city from a wooden raft or visit the castle. There are many things to do here! Transfer by coach to Prague depending on your requirements.
