Day 1: Arrival in Dijon

You will arrive in Dijon and meet with your guide in your centrally-located hotel. There, you will receive your documentation and bikes during the orientation in the evening. Feel free to explore the town during your free time. All meals will be at your own expense on day one.

Day 2: Loop ride around Dijon (22 miles – 35 kilometers) (290 meters)

Riding on day two will take you out into the countryside around Dijon. You will visit some of the nearby vineyards and sites including the Burgundy Canal. You will return to Dijon and stay at the same hotel. Breakfast will be included.

Day 3: Bike to Vougeot (12 – 18 miles / 20 – 29 kilometers) (108 – 325 meters) 

You will ride into the Cotes de Nuit wine country on day two, passing some of the most famous names in Burgundy wines such as Chambolle-Musigny, Gevrey Chambertin, and Vougeot. You will visit the Château du Clos Vougeot and stay in your charming hotel with a gourmet dinner included at night. Breakfast will also be included.

Day 4: Loop ride around the vineyards (22 – 34 miles / 35 – 55 kilometers) (530 – 840 meters) 

You will have a loop ride from Vougeot. You will discover the Burgundy countryside and the vineyards of the Hautes Cotes de Nuits at your own pace. Discover France proposes different cycling options. The area is the center for the region's Grands Crus.

Mainly reputed for its red wines, it also produces a few delicious whites. Wine tastings will be available. Later, you will return to the same hotel with gourmet dinner included. Breakfast will also be provided earlier in the day.

Day 5: Cycle to Beaune (22 – 32 miles / 36 – 51 kilometers) (360 – 420 meters) 

Leaving your hotel, you will pass through the lower vineyard area of Cotes de Nuits and then into Beaune, the wine capital of the region. You will have plenty of time to explore Beaune and its many sites, including the famous Hotel Dieu and the many wine caves in the city. Breakfast will be included.

Day 6: Loop ride around Cote De Beaune vineyards (14 – 35 miles / 22 – 57 kilometers) (278 – 642 meters) 

On day six, you will ride from Beaune towards the Cotes de Beaune vineyard area. You will be able to visit Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chagny, Pommard, Santenay, and then back to Beaune. You will find many opportunities to taste and purchase local wines. You can also taste some of the appellations you visited in one of the caves in Beaune. Breakfast will be included.

Day 7: Departure day

You will departure at your leisure after breakfast. Breakfast will be included.

Garmin GPS

Garmin GPS are included on all tours. Since 2008, Discover France has mainly chosen Garmin for their GPS, or the equivalent brand in some countries. They change the units every two years and always invest in the best models.

Simple to use, easy to read, yet sophisticated devices, they are available on all of the tours. The routes described in your roadbook are stored as tracks in the GPS unit. You simply have to follow the line shown on the GPS and enjoy. One GPS is provided for every three people.
