(No availability) 3 Days Enduro Raid Mountain Biking Weekend in Scotland, UK

Tweed Valley Forest Park, Tweeddale, Scottish Border, Scotland, UK

Ultimate Mountain Biking Tour Scotland

For riders who like things edgy, steep, and technical, this enduro raid slingshots you into the UK’s enduro epicentre - the Tweed Valley in the Scottish Borders. It is home to the best-loved 7Stanes Glentress and Innerleithen trail centres. In 2009, MBR Magazine set out with Go Where Scotland in pursuit of the disused, the forgotten, and the remote - and since then the area has become infamous for its off-piste trails and enduro racing scene. Program

Type of trip

Enduro backcountry and trail-centre link ups to access unforgettable technical ‘enduro’ descents.

Technical rating: 3

You are a confident mountain biker and have been riding technical terrain for at least two years including exposed singletrack and rough landrover track, on uneven, loose, and frequent steep gradients, with frequent variation in trail surfaces from rocks to roots. You are comfortable riding on trails approximately 12 inches wide that vary greatly in their stability and may be unpredictable including loose rock. You are comfortable regularly traversing unavoidable obstacles such as roots, rocks, logs, and drop-offs up to 15 inches tall, and some obstacles encountered may exceed that.

Endurance rating: 3

You are an avid mountain biker riding twice a week or more, and the weather isn’t a big factor for you. You are at an above-average fitness level and regularly do other activities that qualify as exercise. You usually find yourself riding for three hours on the trails, you’ll ride on consecutive days, and you ride at a moderate pace.

Itinerary

Friday

You’ll arrive in the Tweed Valley, hopefully, in time for a lovely pub meal and a nightcap before settling down for a great night’s rest before the fun begins tomorrow.

Saturday

You’ll rendezvous in the Tweed Valley and, over a coffee in the best cafe in the Scottish Borders, you’ll get to know everyone before hitting the trails for an introduction to the tight, twisty singletrack heaven. The variety of riding here is huge, and the quality is consistently nuts! When the sun is shining, the Tweed Valley’s ridgelines offer riders a commanding perspective of Scotland’s wee mountain biking kingdom.

Sunday

Just as you think you’re getting on top of the riding, Go Where Scotland will see if they can pull out a few more surprises to keep you on your toes. Five minutes out the door of your fantastic accommodation, you’ll be picking up your second taste of what’s on offer in the Tweed Valley. You’ll take it easy on the climbs, keeping plenty in the tanks for the good bits. Tight, rooty, steep singletrack descents are the rewards for some serious climbing!

If your appetite for new adventures still isn’t satisfied, then Go Where Scotland still has some treats in store or you can revisit your favourite spot so far to have another crack at that tricky corner. That evening, you’ll probably give in to the lure of the local pub and enjoy some great grub, a tasty ale, and the buzz from shredding some of the most fun descents anywhere.
