We arranged for the guides from Green Italy for 2 days as we knew it would be difficult t get to some of he places we wanted to see....and they were wonderful. We really wished we had booked them for longer. They took us to great sights, gave good explanations and the background of interesting places and then lunch !!! Very good restaurants with so much great food....happy surroundings as well. It is hard to identify the best part of the days. I would absolutely recommend this company if you really want to see the fabulous...thank you to Gio for proving your great guides

Last September, my husband and I had a wonderful day tour with Gio and Gerardo visiting Otranto, Gallipoli, and finishing off with a visit to a beautiful winery for wine tasting. We were met in Lecce and spent a lively 40 minutes or so chatting with Gio and Gerardo while driving to Otranto. The scenery in Salento is amazing with its enormous bright blue skies, olive groves and vineyards stretching for miles in the sun drenched peninsula. Otranto greeted us with the blinding sun and crystal clear waters of the Adriatic. Add to that the beautiful cathedral of Otranto with stunning 12th century mosaic floor that depicts the tree of life, and you have a memory of a lifetime. What a place! After Otranto Gio and Gerardo took us to Gallipoli where we joined a group of tourists from New Zealand for lunch. All the dishes that Gio chose for our lunch were delicious and the seafood was as fresh as it ever gets. After lunch we took a walk through Gallipoli and then headed for the winery to taste award winning wines made right there, in Salento. Delicious wines made from start to finish using organic dry farming. It was great to be able to taste some of the best wines in Italy! It was a perfect day tour with very hospitable and knowledgeable guides, Gio and Gerardo. We felt very lucky to spend a whole day with these two very interesting and experienced guides. We will have lasting memories of our trip and for sure will return to further explore this beautiful part of Italy with Green Italy Tours. Thanks, Gio and Gerardo! Ciao!

We were met by Maria and Anthony in Polignano, they then drove is to Lecce where we met another small group of 6 also doing a Green Italy tour. We had a quick and wonderful coffee just outside on of the city gates. Caffe in ghiaccio! We had a great time strolling around Lecce , visiting a couple of wonderful churches , talking about the history and architecture of the city. From there on to Gallipoli for lunch in a wonderful sea food restaurant by the sea. Fantastic food ,service and company it was good to be able and sit and chat with all the people from Green Italy all had good stories to tell about the various towns they came from in Puglia and just the region as a whole. Following lunch and by then the late afternoon we went for a great wine tasting, well put together by our host from the winery, good wines well priced , we bought a couple of bottles to take with us. And some great local snacks. Then a drive back to Polignano. There was quite a bit of driving , but the scenery and the conversations with Maria and Anthony made in go quickly. Also just want to say the organising and booking of this tour with Giovanni via email from Australia was so easy he was incredibly helpful and efficient. To sum up this was a great day and well worth it.
