Program

On this tour, you are free to explore the entire Portes du Soleil area, Europe's largest linked ski lift area. Departing from one of the 12 resorts in the Franco-Swiss area of the Portes du Soleil, you can journey through the different village-resorts of this international territory. From Les Gets to Morzine, passing through Champéry, Châtel, and Lake Montriond, the tour offers incredible fresh views around every corner.

Throughout the ride, you will discover centuries-old Alpine chalets, exceptional flora and fauna, enchanting waterfalls, and the majestic peaks of the Dents du Midi! What's more, a dozen chairlifts and gondolas, equipped with bike carriers, are dotted throughout the route. They help riders avoid the toughest climbs, putting the emphasis on going downhill: 6,000 meters of total descent and just 1,000 meters of climbing. Additionally, the tour can be done by anyone with a Portes du Soleil lift pass. This pass provides access to all lifts in the Portes du Soleil.

There are 650 kilometers of bike trails in the area to choose from. It is self-guided, so guests can do as much or as little riding as they like. A typical day would be 40 - 80 kilometers of riding, 5,000 meters of descending using around 10 chairlifts / gondolas. Lift passes can be arranged for you on request.

There is an extensive network of marked mountain bike and hiking trails outside the bike park for those looking to discover prime singletrack and technical hiking trails nestled in lush alpine woodland, while still being able to catch a lift back up from the bottom. Morzine is a mecca for downhill mountain biking in Europe, with scores of graded tracks ranging from steep and wooded to fast and open, including optional jumps, gaps, berms, drops, ladders, and whatever you are after - it is here!

You don't need to bring your own tools and spares. Roost MTB Holidays has a well-stocked workshop with tools and parts to deal with most foreseeable mechanical issues and there are also good bike shops around the area.
